GENERAL RULES

  • We reserve the right to refuse you to ride a particular horse/pony if we feel the safety of the rider or horse is in question.

  • Instructors reserve the right to refuse to teach or escort a ride for any reason

  • We have a strict NO SMOKING policy; you will be asked to leave the premises if you are caught smoking. 

  • We will not be held responsible for vehicles and personal belongings brought onto our premises.

  • All children must always be supervised by an adult, do not leave a child unattended in the yard or stable block.

CANCELLATIONS POLICY

If Sandford Stables cancels a ride for any reason, then we will reschedule your ride to a date and time that suits both parties, failing this we will give a full refund.

If you, the customer, cancel a ride for any reason then we will try our best to reschedule your ride to a date and time that suits both parties. Failing this, we can offer you a credit refund.

WEATHER CONDITIONS

We ride in most weather conditions. As the weather is a little unpredictable in this country, we always advise that you bring warm/wet weather clothing according to the time of year. If Sandford Stables is forced to cancel a ride, due to severe weather conditions where we feel it is unsafe to proceed, then we will reschedule your ride or, at the management’s decision, we may refund.

PAYMENT

Full payment for all rides must be made on booking.

NO SHOW

If you fail to turn up, you will forfeit your ride. No refund will be given.

ARRIVAL TIME

Customers are asked to arrive 10 minutes early prior to their ride time in order to fill in any forms, kit up and mount their horse ready.

If you arrive late, you may not be allowed to proceed and, in this case, no refund will be given.

PUNCTUALITY

We aim to run on time but occasionally lessons/rides may over run. We ask you to bear with us.

When booking a day ride, it is advised to keep the whole day free.

 

WHAT TO WEAR

  • Warm/wet weather clothing should be brought with you, depending on the time of year.

  • Jodhpurs or stretch trousers are recommended.

  • Appropriate footwear with a slight heel must be worn such as wellies or boots but nothing with laces. Trainers are not suitable.

  • We supply, free of charge, hard hats and body protectors (body protectors optional for adults.) You are welcome to bring your own equipment, but hats must meet the current standard of PAS015 and fit correctly. If your instructor feels your hat is unsuitable, then you will be provided with one free of charge.

  • Riding hats must be worn when riding.

  • Customers who arrive in unsuitable clothing may not be able to ride and no refund will be given.

 

WEIGHT LIMIT

We have a strict weight limit of 16st (101kg)

GIVING FALSE INFORMATION

Sandford Stables reserve the right to cancel your ride if, when on arrival, your weight limit or your riding ability is not as you stated on your booking form or your disclaimer form.

In such a case no refund will be given and the money will be lost.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

We take the health and safety of our horses and riders as a priority.

Horse riding is a risky sport and you will need to fill in and sign a rider registration form and waiver when booking your ride.

We advise that you take personal accident insurance.

Do not run or shout in the yard and always listen to your instructor, they are there for your safety.

DOGS

Dogs are not allowed on site. Please do not bring your dog in the car during the summer months as there is insufficient shade in the car park.

 

REGULAR RIDERS BLOCK BOOKINGS

Cancellation policy for block bookings. 

Cancellations must be given within 12 hours prior to your ride, we will then try our best to accommodate you with another date within your 6 week block booking. If you can not attend this given date, you will forfeit the ride.

However, if we cancel one of your pre-booked rides, we will then accommodate you with another date within your 6 week block booking. If this is not possible, we will deduct the price of that ride off your next block booking.

If you, the customer, fail to turn up for one of your pre-booked rides then you will lose that ride off your block booking.

No refunds are given for block booking purchases.

All block bookings must be used within 6 weeks of the first ride taken from your block of six rides.

Any remaining rides on the block booking after these deadlines will be forfeited.

If for any reason we cancel your lesson this will not affect your use by date.

 ALL block bookings must be paid for in advance.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Gift vouchers act as a deposit and must be presented on the day of your ride, all gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and they are non-refundable.

AGREEMENT OF TERMS

If you do not agree with any of the Terms and Conditions, then you do not have permission to enter our premises and any bookings and payments are void.

As our Terms and Cancellation policy is available on our website and on request at any time, you have every opportunity to read them before booking with us and, therefore, a refund will not be available on failure to accept them.
