Support our Clydesdales - Freddie and Harry

The Clydesdale horse, once a cornerstone of British farms and industry, is now at risk of disappearing forever. Today, the Rare Breeds Survival Trust lists them as vulnerable to extinction, with fewer than 900 breeding females left in the UK.

At Sandford Stables, we may not be able to breed them back to safety, but we can help keep their legacy alive!

That’s where Freddie & Harry come in—two magnificent Clydesdales who are ready to step into harnesses and show the world just how incredible their breed truly is.

Our Mission

We want to train Freddie & Harry in traditional carriage driving, allowing them to:

Offer carriage rides to the public, giving people an up-close experience with these gentle giants

Demonstrate their strength & skill, showcasing the historic role of Clydesdales in farming and industry

Educate & inspire people about the importance of preserving this iconic breed

How You Can Help?

To bring this vision to life, we need your support to:

Purchase a suitable carriage

Provide proper training & harnesses

Fund educational talks

Ploughing displays

Hands-on experiences for the public

Every donation, big or small, helps us give these horses a purpose.

Share their story, and fight for the survival of their breed.

With your help, this journey could lead to carriage driving lessons, historical demonstrations, and even larger conservation efforts for Clydesdales across the UK.

Let’s keep the spirit of the Clydesdale alive!

Please donate today and be a part of something truly special.

Thank you for believing in Freddie, Harry, and the future of these magnificent horses!
